Spring Student-Athletes Earn MPSSAA Minds in Motion Academic Award
During the spring 2026 season, 253 student-athletes earned the MPSSAA Minds in Motion Academic Award for earning a 3.25 GPA or greater during term 3. The includes 99 student-athletes who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the term. Over 74% of all student-athletes earned the Minds in Motion award for the winter season. Leading the
Baseball Wins Region Championship
The Bears Baseball team captured their second consecutive region championship as they defeated Linganore 11-7. Senior Cooper Thompson recorded a gand slam home run while sophomore Cooper DeWall went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Grady Beaver and Brandon Yowell both had multi-hit games. The Bears (19-4) now advance to the MPSSAA state quarterfinals. Â
Bears Attend CMC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference
On April 30, 2026, six junior Bears joined over 115 student-athletes from Frederick, Washington, and Montgomery counties at the 2026 CMC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference.  Throughout the day, the students collaborated with guest speakers and their fellow students in addressing topics that impact the high school student-athlete.
